SKIPTON HISTORICAL SOCIETYA very active group who run regular meetings and
activities. Based in the old Courthouse where they store records and
photos, they have developed the Stewart Park which displays the
historical marker of the first settlement, barbecue area, old police hut

SKIPTON AND DISTRICT PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUB.The Photographic club meets at Russell Hall, the 2nd monday of the month, 2.30pm one month, 7.30pm the following month. On the 2.30 meetings we usually go out and take photographs around the area sonewhere. A new club we hope to extend our program next year to interact with other clubs, have learning workshops etc. For more information contact Lorna Smith ( secretary) on 0353402129. Skipton had their first very successful Photographic Show last May, now an Annual event. May 19th and 20th in 2007.

SKIPTON ANGLING CLUBSkipton Angling Club is one of the oldest clubs in the district. Our monthly fishing competitions are held on the 3rd. Sunday of each month from September to May. Each year we hold a kid's engorgement fishing day on the 2nd Sunday in October. All children under the age of 16 years welcome. We are a family friendly club. New members are always welcome. Skipton Garden ClubSkipton Garden Club is an enthusiastic group devoted to the interests of the gardeners of Skipton. We hold monthly meetings, plant swaps, organise visits to outstanding gardens, informal and friendly exchanges of news, ideas and information at member's homes or venues in Skipton.
