Skipton Gallery Skipton Market

Skipton is a small rural town in the volcanic area of the Western District of Victoria, Australia. Skipton is famous for the development of  fine wool merino sheep. Named after Skipton, a sheep town in England, its farms produce sheep, cattle, canola, wheat, oats and barley. The Mount Emu Creek abounds in redfin and is the home of many platypuses.
Eels are farmed in the nearby lakes and processed in Skipton.
