We acknowledge the Skipton and District Historical Society who have provided information and pictures of Skipton. In particular the Skipton Sketch Book produced by the Historical Society was a great source of information and pictures.  Two documented Historical Walks exist, one has already been published by Janet Walsh and is soon to be revised and republished by the Skipton Progress Association
